After two decades of living on the West Coast, Cristi was called back to Virginia to be closer to family. Upon her return to the Shenandoah Valley, Cristi felt a pull in her heart for something more. Deciding to let go of her fears, step beyond herself, her comfort zone & chase her dreams, Cristi opened the first ButterCup location on Congress Street in New Market, Virginia on Small Business Saturday in November 2020. As a result of the communities love & support, Cristi opened a second location exactly one year later on Main Street in Woodstock, Virginia. Female owned & operated with a staff of 8, the ButterCup is truly a love letter to her family, friends & the individuals who mentored her along the way.
